You can experience more choice on Emirates Economy Class Special and Saver fares with their Advance Seat Reservation. When travelling on a Special or Saver fare in Economy Class, you can select their seat for free when online check-in opens; 48 hours before a flight departs.
And for a limited time only, Emirates is offering reduced paid seating fees for tickets originating and purchased in Australia and issued in Australian dollars. Customers who have purchased tickets after 3 October 2016, and have not selected seats yet, can take advantage of the new reduced charges. For children aged between two and 11 years who are travelling with at least one adult, a 50% discount applies on the new charges below.

When does Advance Seat Reservation not apply?
Customers travelling in First Class or Business Class – or in Economy Class on a Flex or Flex Plus fare – can select seats through Anywhere Travel or Manage a booking at no extra charge, from the moment they purchase their ticket. Emirates Skywards or Qantas Frequent Flyer, Gold or Platinum members, and everyone in their booking will be exempt from Advance Seat Reservation charges.
Emirates Skywards or Qantas* Silver members are personally exempt from Advance Seat Reservation charges. This applies to all fares where Advance Seat Reservation charges apply.
