The next phase of Qantas partnership with Emirates as well as changes to their daily Sydney-London service.

Qantas’ full announcement can be found here, and a summary of the changes below:

Qantas and Emirates to extend partnership

Qantas will apply to extend their cornerstone partnership with Emirates for another five years (subject to government approval). Qantas and Emirates will better leverage each other’s networks, by providing three hub options for customers from Australia to UK/Europe – via Perth, Singapore and Dubai.

·      Qantas will re-route their daily Sydney-London A380 service (QF1/2) via Singapore rather than Dubai, replacing one of their existing Sydney-Singapore A330 services.

·      One daily Melbourne-Singapore service (QF35/36) will be upgraded from an A330 to an A380. The second three per week service will be increased to a daily A330 service (QF37/38).

·      As previously announced, their current Melbourne-Dubai-London service will be replaced with a direct 787 Dreamliner service from Perth.

·      Customers will continue to have access to 77 weekly Emirates operated services from Australia to Dubai, with onward connections to over 60 destinations on Emirates to Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

These changes are effective from 25 March 2018 and tickets for the new services is on sale now.
