We recently had the pleasure of staying at the relatively new Andaz Jomtien Beach for a rejuvenating getaway, a mere 2 hours from Bangkok – the perfect escape after a busy 3-day conference! From the moment we arrived, we were captivated by the stunning contemporary design of the hotel and the renowned warm welcome from the staff.
The Andaz Jomtien Beach is a sanctuary of luxury and tranquillity. The modern and stylish decor throughout the hotel creates a chic and inviting atmosphere, designed by Thai architecture firm A49 and famed interior design company PIA. A former private seafront estate with mature gardens, shady trees and heritage houses have been sensitively reimagined as a resort with the open-design Village Square at its centre incorporating the multiple dining concepts, resort shops and the lobby bar, all encircling massive century old trees had a very authentic Thai heritage feel.
We stayed in a deluxe Lagoon Access Room, spacious, contemporary Asian design and offered slip-in access to the large lagoon pool from a private terrace with the beach only a quick 5-minute walk away.

The hotel boasts a range of fantastic amenities, including a beautiful infinity pool overlooking the ocean, a state-of-the-art fitness centre, and a luxurious spa where we indulged in a relaxing massage. We also had the pleasure of dining at each of the hotel’s restaurants over the 3 days, where we enjoyed delicious meals prepared with fresh, local ingredients, both western and local menus. Wok Wok specialised in Asian cuisine and La Cucina Mediterranean, also the venues for the extensive breakfast buffet – Fish Club for locally caught seafood on the beach and the Village Butcher specialising in grass-fed beef and boutique-farmed meats.
On day 2 we took advantage of the hotel’s amazing beach location and after an early morning Yoga class we spent the rest of a day lounging on the pristine sands, swimming in the azure waters, and soaking up the sun. The beach at Jomtien was a fantastic surprise, watching the sunset over the horizon each evening, with all the local fishing boats – stunning!
Overall, our experience at Andaz Jomtien Beach was the perfect short break from the chaotic metropolis of Bangkok. The combination of luxurious accommodations, exceptional service, and stunning natural beauty made for a truly relaxing getaway. I left feeling rejuvenated, relaxed, and I highly recommend the resort to anyone looking for a tranquil escape.
