First and Business class passengers on the Kangaroo route from the UK to Australia will soon experience British Airways’ newest premium cabins. The one-stop service between London and Sydney on Boeing 777-300ER aircraft will feature the latest First Suites and the much-awaited Club Suite in business class.

New First Class Suite

Starting on October 30th, British Airways (BA) is operating flight BA15 from London Heathrow Airport (LHR) through to Sydney Airport (SYD) with the 777-300ER. BA15 will depart LHR on Sunday, October 30th at 21:35 and arrive in Sydney on Tuesday, November 1st at 06:55 AM. The schedule shows a 1:25 hour stopover at Singapore Changi Airport (SIN) and a trip duration of 22:20 hours. The return flight BA16, which includes the Changi stopover, departs Sydney Airport at 16:30 and arrives in London at 05:25 AM the next day.

BA – new Club Suite

There will be eight First suites fitted with a door and featuring a 24-inch (61 centimeters) HD video screen, noise-canceling Meridian headphones, a la carte fine dining, luxury amenities, and pajamas. The big change is in business class with the long-awaited introduction of BA’s Club Suites, which are being progressively rolled out on the 777s. The suites have sliding privacy doors, direct-aisle access, and lie flat-bed seats in a 1-2-1 cabin configuration. BA says they have 40% more storage space, including a vanity unit, mirror, and an 18.5-inch (47 centimeters) inflight entertainment screen. The suites also have PC/USB power, WiFi, and high-definition gate-to-gate programming. With two longish night sectors to navigate, a plush pillow and luxury White Company quilt will help with sleeping.

“Our new First and Club Suite seats have been created to suit the needs of our individual customers. Each seat has been designed to offer privacy, comfort and space – a place where we know our customers enjoy to work, rest and play.” British Airways Chief Customer Officer Calum Laming

During the short Singapore stopover, first and business passengers and oneworld Sapphire and Emerald frequent flyers can enjoy BA’s premium lounge. Located in Changi’s Terminal 1, the lounge reopened in May and is alongside the Qantas premium lounge on Level 3. It has all the usual amenities expected of a premium lounge, including showers, buffet, business center, charging facilities, restroom, and wheelchair access.
